A fun way to meet creative people & local business owners who support our Community!
The Annual Plainville PumpkinFest is a downtown outdoor festival featuring live music, a kid's costume parade, kid's games, bounce houses, a large variety of food trucks, spooky haunted house and over 50 local vendors, downtown restaurants & businesses. It wouldn't be a PumpkinFest without pumpkins, so everyone is invited to bring their own carved pumpkins or decorate your own at the Pumpkin Patch!!

Carve Your Own Pumpkin, bring it to the "Pumpkin Patch" tent, we'll light it up and display it on the Library lawn FREE for all to SEE!! You can even take it home with you when you leave. You can also Register to WIN A PRIZE!!

Walk (or run) through the spooky haunted house at the Masonic Temple located at 70 East Main Street

Enjoy Live Music in the Center of Town

Dress your kids in their Halloween costumes and bring them to see the Magician at the Parks & Rec Department on Whiting Street starting at 4:00

March in the Kid's Costume Parade (5:00 PM) from the Parks & Rec Department

Taste all of the delicious food & desserts from over 20 unique Food Trucks and Downtown Restaurants

Visit all the downtown area businesses as you shop for crafts & gifts at OVER 50 VENDOR BOOTHS lining the downtown streets.....and much, much more!!!


Since the start of the Plainville PumpkinFest in 2015, we have donated $70,000 to the Plainville Community Fund (as well as $10,000 to other Plainville Charities). We couldn't have done it without the support of our Town, local businesses, and everyone who participated / attended the event for the past 9 years so....THANK YOU ALL!!
Main Street Community Foundation is committed to improving the quality of life in Plainville in a variety of ways, one of which is through grantmaking from the Plainville Community Fund.
The Plainville Community Fund was established at Main Street Community Foundation in 2006 by a group of community leaders to create a permanent resource of assets for charitable programs and projects that enhance the quality of life for Plainville residents, emerging needs. Each year grants are awarded to charitable programs and projects working to enhance the lives of Plainville residents in the areas of arts and culture, education, environment, health and human services among others.​ Over the past 21 years, the Foundation has awarded grants totaling $160,000 from this Fund.

This year, a total of $15,800 has been awarded to 8 local nonprofits to support their missions – and so much more.....
• At Liberty Services - $1,500
• Community Solutions, Inc. - $1,800
• Imagine Nation, A Museum Early Learning Center - $1,500
• PARC, Inc. - $3,000
• Plainville Board of Education/Plainville Community Schools - $2,500
• Plainville Community Food Pantry - $2,000
• The Congregational Church of Plainville (CCP) - $1,500
• Wheeler Regional Family YMCA - $2,000

The Fund relies on the donations of individuals, families, and businesses to help meet the changing needs of Plainville residents. Contributions can be made at any time to the Plainville Community Fund by donating online at:
